Virtually all states have a mandatory continuing education requirement for doctors of chiropractic to maintain or renew their license to practice. Most prevalent is at least 12 hours per year in topics such as diagnostic skills, chiropractic techniques, risk management, public health, and professional boundary issues.
ErgoRehab’s courses are designed in congruence with national certification and continuing education guidelines, as well as, requirements of State Licensing Agencies for continuing education activity. These criteria include guidelines developed by the International Association of Continuing Education & Training (IACET) and the National Commission of Certifying Agency (NCCA). Our home study courses meet all State requirements for continuing educational material. ErgoRehab’s home study courses contain the following elements that APTA’s BOD 03-97-32-91 - "Guidelines for Evaluating Continuing Education Programs" has identified as essential elements of quality continuing education programs:
- Clearly defined rationale
- Clearly identified instructional level
- Stated learning objectives
- Clearly delineated program description
- Clearly identified instructor qualifications
- Comprehensive and up-to-date material
- Bibliographic references of course content
- Continuing education contact hour fulfillment
Although ErgoRehab, Inc. can claim no warranty that our home study courses qualify as accepted continuing education activity in every state, we feel this approach to course development gives you the assurance that ErgoRehab’s home study courses are developed in the highest of quality and exceed the minimum standards for continuing education activity in each State.
Continuing education requirements vary from State to State, as does what qualifies as accepted continuing education activity. So it is essential for every licensed chiropractic physician to be very aware of his or her individual State license requirements, if any, for continuing education.
EACH CHIROPRACTIC PHYSICIAN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MEETING THE LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS OF THE STATE IN WHICH HE/SHE PRACTICES.
